Los británicos DRAGONFORCE están viendo aumentar notablemente su popularidad gracias a la incursión de su tema "Through the Fire and Flames" en la última entrega del videojuego "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock".
"Nuestros CD's se están vendiendo más y estamos muy arriba en las listas de descargas digitales," comentaba el guitarrista Herman Li. "Nosotros no hacemos música comercial, así que nos ha cogido a todos por sorpresa."
El fenómeno sigue en aumento, sobre todo después de que Ellen DeGeneres invitara a su programa a un joven experto en el juego para que interpretara el tema de DRAGONFORCE, considerado uno de los más difíciles de tocar.
DRAGONFORCE aumentaron las ventas digitales de la mencionada "Through the Fire And Flames" desde 2.000 temas semanales hasta 37.825 en la última semana de diciembre. Solo un tema de GH III ha vendido más, el clásico de GUNS N' ROSES "Welcome to the Jungle", alcanzando las 38.330 canciones.
